Freshly renovated for its July 2019 re-opening, the cool and contemporary 3-star atana stay Salalah with its hip aesthetic and laid back vibe welcomes young and youthfully minded explorers, fun-seeking families, and groups of friend looking to add a new chapter to their story.
The capital of the Dhofar region, Salalah is located in the south of Oman - approximately 1,000 kilometres from Muscat. Framed by the majestic Hajjar Mountains, it sits on the beautiful shores of the Indian Ocean. A perfect year round destination, Salalah is touched by the monsoon (khareef) during the months of July and August when the surrounding countryside becomes enveloped in lush greenery and temperatures hover around an idyllic 27 degrees centigrade.
Closer than you think, Salalah is just 75 minutes from Muscat by plane. In fact, Salalah international airport now receives direct flights form cities across the world. If you have time to spare, Salalah can also be accessed by road from Muscat. The drive takes approximately eight hours.
